This formula was developed with the help of a Veterinarian specializing in helping cats with kidney disease. Intended for cats who require a low-phosphorus diet, this Restricted Diet Phosphorus Formula contains low levels of phosphorus, to help manage kidney disease. For intermitted feeding only because of the low level of phosphorus AFFCO ( the organization that sets feeding guidelines) has determined this formula does not meet federal guidelines of a complete diet. This food is intended for temporary feedings and not a permanent part of your cat’s diet. Once your cat gets better you can discontinue using this food.
