The activated carbon removes impurities and odors, the ion exchange resin softens tap water. Filter is made of fine mesh, high density cotton, coconut shell activated carbon and ion exchange resin. Natural and non-toxic. Filters to be replaced every 2-3 months depending on frequency of use. New filters should be soaked in clean water for 10 mins before use.
